Mosedale is off the beaten track and in the shadows of Carrock Fell in the Northern Lake District, but only 4 miles from the A66. This is a lovely place to enjoy a hill walking break and relax for a few days but close to Keswick & Ullswater.
We have a suite with its own mini kitchen, balcony, king-size bed plus sofa & coffee table. All the ingredients for the perfect stay.
All 3 Bed & Breakfast rooms are shower en-suite, with comfortable easy seating with a small food prep area including a fridge & microwave. All our accommodation offers good open views of the countryside.
We have decided to move away from the traditional, formal served Breakfast, for a more modern relaxed approach to a Breakfast Picnic Hamper supplied to your ROOM.
You can now go ahead and enjoy that well-deserved LIE IN and have Brunch to start your day.
You can also choose the cheaper room-only option.
Bowscale Tarn is only 40 minute's walk from the farm gate which is the perfect place for Wild Swimming and picnics.
Walk our favorite Northern Fells from the Farmgate, including Carrock, High Pike, Knott, Calva & The Back O’ Siddaw or Bowscale, Mungrisdale Common, Blencathra & Souther Fell. Lots of Wainwrights to bag.
We have a complimentary walk leaflet with 2 easy local walks from the farm gate, which includes an identification sheep quiz.

Sheepdog demonstration. Get to meet the working collie dogs & see them herd the sheep. Stroke a sheep and ask the farmer all your farming questions. Small charge.

Location
Mosedale End Farm is 14 miles from Keswick and Penrith
Due to our rural location & NO BUS ROUTE, we recommend you have your own TRANSPORT.
Please be careful as Sat Nav`s will take you to a holiday cottage around the corner.
Leave the M6 at J40 (Penrith) and take the A66 west to Keswick for approx 10 miles
Take the right turn for Mungrisdale and drive approx 4 miles on to Mosedale
(You will pass through Mungrisdale, passing the Mill Inn on your left)
Proceed through Mosedale village, sat nav`s will tell you to turn left for Swineside, THIS IS WRONG. Mosedale End Farm is the last house in the village on the left. There is a green sign hanging from the telegraph pole.
Mosedale End Farm is a 17th Century white farmhouse and is set back off the road, behind its own private yard where you may park your car.
