Keswick town centre hotel teams up with Cumbrian pet photographer to offer ‘pup-up’ photoshoots for charity

Keswick's canine community is set to enjoy a special treat as a unique pet photoshoot event makes its debut at the Inn on the Square on Friday 19th July.

Organised by Lake District Hotels in collaboration with Olive Paw Photography, this event offers dog owners the chance to acquire professional photos of their beloved pets at a significantly reduced rate, while simultaneously supporting Keswick Youth Centre Services, which provides a vital safe and supportive environment for the local youth.

The 'pup-up' studio will be professionally set up in the Inn on the Square’s ‘Hidey Hole’ featuring a variety of dog-friendly backdrops to ensure each portrait is picture-perfect. Owners can choose to be in the photos with their pets or opt for pet-only portraits.

Renowned pet photographer David Forknall from Olive Paw Photography will be on-site throughout the day to capture the unique personalities of every furry participant.

“I love running pop-up studios like this” said David. “Even in a brief photoshoot, I have the perfect opportunity to truly capture each dog's character in a once-in-a-lifetime snap that owners can cherish forever."

Ten-minute photoshoot slots are available at various times throughout the day, with a percentage of each sale benefiting Keswick Youth Centre Services, the current Charity of the Year for Lake District Hotels.

When discussing the unique event, Gary Lovatt, Trustee of KYCS told us “funds raised from this event will help sustain a variety of programs and activities designed to enrich the lives of local youth, fostering personal growth and community engagement. By participating in this photoshoot opportunity, pet owners are contributing to a cause that positively impacts the future of Keswick's younger generation.”

"As a dog-friendly hotel in Keswick, we understand the special bond between humans and their four-legged friends. Partnering with Olive Paw Photography allows us to offer a unique keepsake to our guests while supporting a worthwhile local charity” added Eryn Brolly, Deputy Manager of the Inn on the Square.

Booking a slot for this tail-wagging event is simple, with a £5 deposit required to secure a space. The remaining balance is due on the day of the photoshoot. All attendees will receive a high-resolution digital image of their pet as a memento.
